What I say: I’m fine

What I mean: How is it that in Sense8 the writers are able to create an amazing sci-fi world just within the grasps of believability but still not know basic science, specifically taxonomy. They put so much thought into the mechanisms through which the characters, who are extremely well developed, interact. But in season 1, episode 10: “What Is Human?” the character Will says, “…another species of Homo sapiens.” Sapiens is the species! Homo is the genus. Shouldn’t the writers know this? Or are they trying to reflect the knowledge of the character: an average joe Chicago police officer…
